Easy brownies recipe with cocoa

Posted on March 28, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple, easy brownie recipe using cocoa powder — fudgy, chocolatey, and quick to make:

🍫 Ingredients (Makes 9–12 brownies)

  • ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (200 g) sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup (35 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup (65 g) all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp baking powder

Optional: ½ cup chocolate chips or nuts for extra texture

🥄 Instructions

1. Prepare Oven & Pan

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.

2. Make the Batter

  1. In a large bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until smooth.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla, whisk until fully combined.
  3. Sift in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder, and fold gently until smooth.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips or nuts if using.

3. Bake

  1. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  2. Bake 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  3. Let cool completely in pan before cutting into squares.

✅ Tips

  • Fudgy brownies: Bake slightly less, around 20 minutes, so the center stays soft.
  • Chewy brownies: Use all brown sugar instead of white for more chew.
  • Add flavor: Sprinkle a pinch of salt on top before baking to enhance chocolate flavor.
