Here’s a simple, crispy Potato Sticks recipe—great as a snack, side dish, or appetizer. You can bake them, fry them, or air-fry them.


Crispy Potato Sticks (Fries-Style)

Servings: 3–4
Prep: 10 min | Cook: 20–30 min

Ingredients

  • 4 medium russet potatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika or garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

1. Prep potatoes

  • Peel (optional) and cut potatoes into thin sticks.
  • Soak in cold water for 20–30 minutes (removes starch for crispiness).
  • Drain and pat completely dry.

Oven-Baked Method

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Toss potato sticks with oil and seasonings.
  3. Spread in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.

Air Fryer Method

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cook potato sticks in batches for 15–18 minutes, shaking halfway.

Frying Method

  1. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Fry potato sticks in batches 3–4 minutes until golden.
  3. Drain on paper towels and salt immediately.

  • Chili-lime
  • Ranch seasoning

Dipping Sauces

  • Ketchup
  • Garlic mayo
